About
Founded in 2002, Dream Dale entered the casual games space with Magic Ball, an exhilarating 3D Breakout game that went on to become a worldwide smash hit. Magic Ball was the first successful 3D Arkanoid ever developed, as the earlier attempts to create such a game failed. Two years later, Dream Dale followed the success of Magic Ball with its sequel, Magic Ball 2. Due to more realistic physics and improved graphics, the new offering exceeded the popularity of the original game. In addition, the sequel has been ported from the PC to several additional platforms, including mobile phones, and been localized throughout Europe and Asia.
Later, Dream Dale expanded its portfolio with two more titles -- Flyonoid, a side-scrolling arcade platform game with smooth cartoon graphics, and a space shooter titled AstroFury -- both of which the casual audience embraced. In 2007, Dream Dale completed and released the long-awaited third installment in the Magic Ball series, allowing casual game fans to enjoy even more vivid 3D graphics, realistic physics and thrilling action.
The creative thrust behind Magic Ball 3 was summed up in the statement, "No more bricks." While making Magic Ball 3, Dream Dale abstained from using the traditional building blocks of Breakout games, a bold move which resulted in dazzling animated scenes populated with pirates, medieval dragons and more. The game was developed using PhysX from AGEIA Technologies, also seen in the popular Xbox 360T game, Gears of War. To date, more than 1.2 million copies of Magic Ball games have been sold, and the series continues to attract new fans all over the world.
Alawar Entertainment has published every Dream Dale game since the founding of the company. In 2007, Dream Dale accepted Alawar's offer of acquisition and is now operating under the Alawar - Dream Dale brand. Today, the game studio is hard at work on new casual games, some of which will continue the popular Magic Ball series, while others will explore new casual worlds. The main goal of Alawar - Dream Dale is to release premium casual games that surpass previous releases in terms of technology and design and bring an innovative experience to players.
